Chris here – I hope you and your family are having an amazing year so far.

As many of you know, I've been in the sales grind for many years now. I've built a great career -- but it's also meant long stretches away from family and friends. I knew something had to change in order to achieve my early retirement goals. I was previously investing heavily in the stock market for quite some time – until I wasn’t. Like many of you, I have watched the market wreak havoc on my hard-earned money. For many years I would wake up, check the stock market, and allow its ups and downs to set the tone for my day, and I was TIRED of it. 

 

Thus, began the search for something different. I kept asking the question - Where could I invest my hard-earned money AND have peace of mind knowing it will work hard for me? Just over two years ago, I began researching various investments to figure out where I could put my money so it’s protected while it grows.

 

So, what was my ah-ha moment? I found real-estate investing – but not what you’re probably thinking. I assessed many aspects of single-family – from flipping to rentals, but found quite a few challenges. Single-family investing requires a lot of time, it’s hard to scale and build a portfolio, and the “pie” just isn’t big enough to really build true wealth.

So, I'll get to the point – I found a way to scale a real estate portfolio by purchasing large multifamily (apartment complexes – 100 to 300 unit properties). I'm able to do this through something called “syndication,” which basically means investors join up and pool their money together to buy large properties.

 

At first, I was cautious and didn’t share much of this journey -- waiting to see the business plan executed before talking openly about it with my friends, family, and close network. Along the way, I have met so many people in this space – people who, similar to myself, want to get off of the stock market rollercoaster and invest in a physical asset with solid returns, passive income, and significant tax benefits.

 

And now I'm convinced, based on their success and mine, that the unique mix of benefits of multifamily (apartments) makes it an exciting investment opportunity as I continue to build a solid financial future for not only my family but others as well.

I believe the best part about my journey is now I can bring my friends, family, and other sales leaders and entrepreneurs alongside me.

I have invested in 148 doors across 2 apartment complexes to date, and I am continuing to build my portfolio.
